A parent side project

I built a little daily homepage for my kid. You can make one too.

A daily page with weather, jokes, animals, and a birthday countdown. My kid checks it every morning like it's the most important thing in the world.

Word of the DayCurious

It's made for the 4-to-6 crowd.

Big pictures, short words they can sound out, jokes that actually make a kindergartner laugh, and stuff to do that doesn't involve a screen. My kid can mostly navigate it on their own, which was the whole point.

Setting it up is quick.

Just your email, your kid's first name, and their birthday. We'll send a magic link -- no password to remember.

Add some details

Pop in your location for weather, and any birthdays your kid would want to count down to (grandma, best friend, etc.).

Bookmark it

Save it to your kid's tablet or computer. New stuff shows up every morning.

Here's what shows up each day.

Animal of the Day

A different animal with a fun fact. This is the one my kid talks about at school.

Joke of the Day

A new joke every day. Fair warning: your kid will retell these at dinner. Badly.

Birthday Countdown

Days until birthdays of family and friends. The source of much daily excitement.

Today's Weather

Real weather for your area, described in a way a 5-year-old actually understands.

Daily Challenge

A little activity to try -- draw something, build something, go find something outside.

Word of the Day

A new word with a simple definition. Some of them actually stick.

Holiday Countdown

Days until the next holiday. You will be asked about this constantly.

Today's Date

The day, date, and season. My kid finally stopped asking what day it is.

Moon Phase

What the moon looks like tonight. Surprisingly popular with the under-6 set.

No ads, no tracking, no nonsense.

I built this for my own kid, so I took privacy seriously. There's nothing on here I wouldn't be comfortable with as a parent.

No ads anywhere. There never will be.
No tracking or analytics on your kid's page.
We only store what's needed: a name, a birthday, a location for weather.
You control everything from your dashboard, and you can delete it all anytime.

If your kid would get a kick out of this, give it a try.

It's free. It takes a couple minutes to set up. No catch.
